GSM Employee Completes Apprenticeship Program

Since 1927, we have been blessed to be one of the area's premier HVAC companies. We strive to build strong relationships with our customers by providing the highest quality service directly from our highly trained coworkers.

On July 20th, Chris Martin (Commercial Division), completed the GSM Services Apprenticeship Program for Heating & Air Conditioning. He has met the required work hours, completed the educational requirements and will be receiving his certificate of completion from the State of North Carolina.

Chris has successfully completed the GSM Services Apprenticeship Program for Heating & Air Conditioning via the PHCC Program. The PHCC Academy of North Carolina Apprenticeship Program was created in 2016 for employees of PHCC of NC Member companies. This program is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment & Training Administration and Office of Apprenticeship. It is a comprehensive 4 module course combining on-the-job learning under the direction of experienced workers and related instruction through online classes. Although each of the 4 modules is the equivalent of one year of classroom instruction, the average time to complete the program is 2 to 4 years. Chris has met the required work hours, completed the educational requirements and will be receiving his certificate of completion from the State of North Carolina.

Sam Vagnozzi, Director of Learning here at GSM Services, noted, "We truly thank Chris for his dedication to this program and congratulate him on taking a vital step toward his career advancement.”

Chris is a native of Gaston County and currently lives in Belmont with his wife Brooke and his 3 kids, Maddison, Ansleigh, and Brantlee. He is a graduate of Hunter Huss High School and enjoys spending time with his family and working.

Congratulations, Chris, on this amazing accomplishment! We are so glad to have you on this team, and we are excited to see you succeed in this industry. Please join us in congratulating Chris!
